“We agreed. Tuesday lunch to discuss a wild business idea. This new potential money-making business opportunity was something we both wanted. At exactly 11:45am I arrived in the foyer of my associate’s building. I waited. And I waited. No show…I called his office…no answer.
I got into my car and drove unconsciously toward the restaurant knowing he would likely be there. As I rounded the corner I noticed a man in my rearview mirror. I quickly doubled back because I thought it was him. Wrong… so I drove back to his office thinking I didn’t wait long enough.
Five minutes later, I decided this was not our day and headed home. I was disappointed. But, oh well – next time, I thought.
An hour later I called him at the office to find out what had happened. He shared that he decided to go directly to the restaurant thinking I would have done the same!
Our minds thought the same thoughts. However, I failed to come through because I didn’t stay in the moment that was leading me there – I allowed distractions to get in the way of my “correct” intuition. I was lucky. The deal is still alive.”
